What to Do About Stinky Pits?
I was chatting with a friend the other day about our experiences touring the Vatican.
We both had strange stories to tell.
I have a visceral memory of being in a stairwell, going up behind a tour group who wasn't wearing deodorant.
An experience that seemed VERY odd to me at that time.
I would have thrown on a heavy jacket and zipped it up with that level of BO! But...
The more I traveled, the more I realized, us Americans are the ones most obsessed with covering up our 'natural odors.'
Thankfully, I came to learn WHY we stink in the first place and how to combat it...naturally.
Have you ever tried moving away from conventional anti-perspirants to trying natural deodorants?
WHEW!
It's brutal.
Of COURSE it's NOT going to work the first time.
Or maybe even the second time.
See, your pores are clogged and the natural formulas allow them to breathe...
Maybe for the first time in what could be decades!
The skin in your pits is thinner than the rest of your body.
And this area is home to very important lymph nodes.
Think about how many women get cancer of the breast and have to get their pit lymph nodes removed.
Anyone ever question WHY that might be?
Could it be, perhaps, that those very important nodes COULD have been detoxed and the build up of toxicity avoided?
Just saying...
We are finally now seeing that the toxic chemicals and heavy metals used in conventional anti-antiperspirants are in fact being linked to cancer.
Maybe it's time for a change?
Before you go jumping ship, there are 3 things you want to consider:
1. You'll need to detox that area, to support removal of heavy metals, toxins, and excess bacteria.
Detox can look like using a combination of activated charcoal, baking soda (aluminum-free, of course) and coconut oil.
Or grabbing a jar of our Armpit Detox.
2. You'll need to shift your diet to one that 'deodorizes' your body.
Think more leafy greens and detoxing supplements. Reduce/remove processed flours and sugars and ramp up your hydration.
Or grab a jar of Open Pathways to support the detox pathways or a bag of Adaptive Greens for internal deodorant support.
3. You'll have to chose a deodorant that works well with your body's chemistry. Some people do really well with blends that use coconut oil and baking soda, while others have adverse reactions.
We now have Pits Stick, natural deodorant, in-store. It comes in 2 different formulas: 1 with baking soda and 1 without.
*Thanks to feedback from our customers, we learned that some of you needed a deodorant without baking soda or coconut oil while some of you do just fine with that.
Another thing you'll want to remember is that anti-antiperspirants use heavy metals like aluminum to BLOCK the pores from sweating...which is one of the body's greatest detoxification tools.
To make 2025 your healthiest year yet...
It's time to ditch the toxins and honor your body with a cleaner solution to BO.
